Welcomes You!

We are glad you are interested in visiting St. Augustine’s!  We are a diverse community of faith—we come from a wide variety of backgrounds, hold diverse political views and enjoy different cultural activities.  What unites us is our identity as Christians , and our desire to live authentic lives of faith.  We are loving, welcoming community seeking to be faithful disciples of Jesus in a rapidly changing, sometimes confusing, and always fascinating world.

Worship

Regular worship services are every Sunday morning at 8:00 and 10:30, with child care being provided at the 10:30 service.  Parishioners gather in the Parish Hall for coffee and light refreshments after the 10:30 service.  During the week, a Eucharist and Healing service is held every Wednesday at noon in the Church.

Liturgy

The Book of Common Prayer provides the structural basis for our worship together, and the liturgy, Scripture readings and prayers found therein ground us in a faith that transcends  our own time and place.   We use the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) at various times throughout the service—if at any point you need help, don’t hesitate to ask the person sitting next to you.

Formation

Outside of common worship, there are a number of ways that we seek to deepen our faith through education, fellowship and service.  Please take time to explore our Education offerings and Outreach ministries. You will also find more information about our life together as a parish, as well as details about upcoming events, in our weekly newsletter, Canterbury Tales.
